Websites designed with love and Grace

My hope for this site

Grace, love, and support are the cornerstone of life. Mix in a heavy dose of humor and laughter, and you can survive anything. I have been right where you are and want to support you in honoring the person you love or helping you create a site for a grieving loved one. Grief can be an incredibly lonely experience, and my goal is to help others find some healing by creating a lasting memorial online. All of our lives deserve to be honored, and I hope I can help you create a custom memorial website that is as unique as your loved one.

 hello friend,

I’m Christina

This site was created because after my father passed away, my mom had asked me to help create something we could share with family and friends, and I wanted to take something off of her plate. Yet, I could not find a memorial website service that was personalized or as unique as he was. I wanted to share who he was in an elegant and personalized way. Being a web designer, I decided to make it myself.

I found a deep sense of healing and warmth by collecting the pictures that captured his life best and the quotes he loved most. Another beautiful benefit was creating the contact page, where people who loved him could share their memories via email in a private manner. We found that everyone felt much more comfortable sharing memories via this form rather than in a public setting, such as a Facebook post. Even months later, we get emails from his memorial site, filling our day with love. My mother appreciated how the website was a place to re-direct condolences and an easier way to share his passing with former colleagues and friends. Giving her that peace of mind was a wonderful gift.

The reception from his memorial site was instant, as others who lost their loved ones wanted to know how to create and share their memories online.

This experience made me understand that there are so many places we search for connection. There are stories of strength, humanity, kindness, and resilience around us.

Everyone has a story, and these beautiful memories should continue even after we are gone.

You will learn that during the most challenging times in your life, someone else will understand precisely what you are going through. In addition, by creating an online memorial for your loved ones, you will also find a connection with your friends or family who are grieving.

So, in honor of my father and mother, I warmly welcome you to The Memories Remain.

During the weeks after your loved one's passing, you will feel like you have to re-learn how to move through the world. Things like:...how to breathe,...how to care about life beyond the present moment....how to laugh again. To help you navigate these times, we have also created a resource page to help you find book recommendations, grief resources, online counseling, and suggestions to help you find resilience after loss.
